A594WVL
The A594WVL is a high quality compression driver with a 4" voice coil and a heavy field coil motor. It can take the most explosive transients in stride, and reproduce them with flawless accuracy. Mathematically determined phasing plugs are machined concentric exponential horns to eliminate phase cancellations and it is further coupled to a tapered flared throat, the mouth of which is 2" in diameter. The initial flare rate in the driver design is approximately 160 Hz, to drive large and very large horns with a low cutoff frequency.
Albeit JBL's new optimized aperture horns and their associated drivers offer a reduction in distortion when compared to the earlier JBL horns and all competitive models we feel especially this converted driver to play music with far more emotion and realistic timbre than most of the modern designs.
The diaphragms of 0,08 mm aluminum alloy are pneumatically drawn to shape to eliminate crystal stresses that cause fatigue. Furthermore we offer treated diaphragms which produce an extended peak-free, but slightly rolled off, response. Every diaphragm is dynamically centered in the gap and tone is controlled by hearing. Model A594WVL is ideally suited for critical sound reinforcing applications. Its high efficiency and power capacity permit unparalleled dynamic range.
The A594WVL plays gorgeous from 390 Hz to 9000 Hz within a few dB, from 350 Hz to 16000 Hz with a slight roll off.
